Anglican or Ecumenical: Both. Ecumenical school with Anglican (diocesan) oversight of Anglican programs and formation.

Residential: Programs are offered both full-time and part-time. The M. Div. degree may be completed either through on campus residential program or through internet based summer distance program.

Qualifications:  M. Div. degree. Some candidates for non stipendiary programs make use of shorter certificate programs.

Comments:  AST is accredited by the Asociation of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (AST). All graduate programs are approved by the ATS and also by the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission that represents the governments of the Canadian Atlantic Provinces. In addition to the M. Div. degree AST offers Continuing Education Certificate in Theology (online), a graduate Certificate in Theology (Online or on campus), and an MA (Theology and Religious Studie), which is offered jointly with Saint Mary's University in Halifax. In September AST will launch a new Diploma in Youth Ministry. In addition AST is involved in continuing education for the clergy of Atlantic Canada and beyond through its Annual Best Practices Institutes.
