The Anglican Communion Office, based in London, England, at St Andrew's House, is the permanent secretariat for the Instruments of Communion. It serves Anglican Consultative Council, the Primates' Meetings and the Lambeth Conference, as well commissions, committees and groups that emerge from time to time, as the need arises. The Revd Canon Kenneth Kearon serves as Secretary General of the Anglican Communion.

The office maintains the Anglican Communion database and has an archive of Anglican meetings dated back to the formation of the ACC.

The St Andrew's chapel has been designated a "Cross of Nails" Centre for peace and reconciliation, affiliated with the Community established through Coventry Cathedral, England.

Anglican Communion members are being asked for their thoughts on the ministry priorities and qualities of the next Secretary General.

After retiring as Director of Unity, Faith and Order in January, the Revd Canon Dr Alyson Barnett-Cowan will act as Interim Secretary General.

The Revd Canon Dr John Gibaut has been appointed to succeed the Revd Canon Dr Alyson Barnett-Cowan in March as Director for Unity, Faith and Order of the Anglican Communion.
