Companion Diocesan Links have been a means of developing relationships and mutual partnership in mission throughout the dioceses and parishes of the Anglican Communion for many years. The Diocese of Ukwa - The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) is seeking a new link and has given information on the diocese below. If your diocese is interested in forming a link with them please respond directly to the Bishop.

Brief history of Diocese:
Ukwa Diocese is ten years old, having been carved out of Aba Diocese
in 1994. It is a completely rural diocese with very serious missionary
and evangelical challenges.
It has 58 functional churches and 45 clergy at the moment. The seat of
the Cathedral is Akwete between the cities of Aba and Port-Harcourt.
Any previous or existing Links:
None.
Reason for wanting a Link:
There is strength, blessings, joy and other spiritual nourishment in fellowship. We want to have a link in another part of the Anglican Communion so that we can be part of this fellowship of the body of Christ. Each of us has areas of strength and weakness and sharing this with others brings enrichment.
What expectations you have of the Link?
What part of the world you would like your Link to be?
United States of America, Britain, Australia.
Describe the style and patterns of church life and ministry in your diocese.
Would you like your Link diocese to reflect or contrast with the pattern described above?
We do not mind diverse or identical patterns
