Brief history of Diocese:

Luweero Diocese was created out of the first Diocese in Uganda (Namirembe) on 8th December 1991. It covers two political districts.

Any previous or existing Links:

North West Europe archdeaconry in Netherlands.
Diocese in Europe, Church of England.

Reason for wanting a Link:

Exchange of Partners in Mission and gaining of Cross cultural experience from both sides and sharing of Mission experience.

What expectations you have of the Link?

What part of the world you would like your Link to be?


Describe the style and patterns of church life and ministry in your diocese.

  • Luwero Diocese is an Evangelical Diocese that focuses mainly on the fulfilment of the great commission (preaching, Evangelising, teaching and also rendering of a Holistic Ministry in response to John 10:10.
  • We hold both conservative and free forms of worship to suit our people’s choices of worshipping of their God.
